Tailor your resume to each internship. Read the posting, pull out the key skills, and mirror the language where it is honest. A generic resume reads as lazy next to one that matches the role.
Lead with a short summary, then education, then experience. For students, projects, volunteer work, and part-time jobs all count as experience. Describe what you did and what changed because of it.
Use numbers where they are real. Saying you led a team of 10 and raised output by 20 percent only works if it happened; never invent figures to look impressive. One honest, specific line beats three vague ones.
Keep it to one page, use a clean layout, and proofread carefully. Free templates and tools can help with formatting, but the content has to be yours.
Save and send the file as a PDF unless the posting says otherwise, and name the file clearly with your name and the word resume.
