All courses will take place through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) named MyCampus.
At The Continents States University, students have access to 13 different paid libraries and more than 21 different business journals at no additional cost. These resources are available to all students and can be utilized to complete their weekly academic writing assignments. Access to such academic resources through Success Portal will significantly contribute to the overall educational experience at the university. Students can still utilize their own resources or from local libraries if any.
Upon successful admission to the university and gaining access to the Success Portal, students will have the capability to retrieve an official letter signed by university officials, confirming their enrollment status. This letter can be conveniently printed directly from the student’s computer or downloaded as a PDF.
All currently enrolled university students are afforded the privilege of generating an official employment support letter, duly signed by the Dean of Graduate Studies at the university. This letter is designed with the primary objective of reaffirming the institution’s unwavering commitment to assisting all students in their pursuit of suitable employment opportunities. Access to this letter is conveniently facilitated through the Success Portal, allowing students to print it at their convenience.

Learning Environment

How Will My Learning Environment Be?

Your learning environment at The Continents States University is designed to be focused and individualized. The courses are structured into four-week modules, with each week dedicated to one subject. Throughout the week, you’ll be expected to dedicate 35-45 hours to study if necessary, including completing weekly structural components. This setup emphasizes a comprehensive understanding and mastery of the material, allowing you to delve deeply into the subject matter. The academic structure ensures that each course is completed within a single term, and courses cannot be combined with others during that period. Assessment is based on overall competency achievements, highlighting your ability to excel independently in each course and showcase proficiency in the subject matter.
You will need to log in to your dashboard occasionally and watch your weekly pre-recorded lectures. Additionally, you must download a PDF handout to take notes during the lectures. The lecturers delivering weekly presentations will be from highly reputable universities such as the University of Oxford, Université de Montréal, Shanghai University, George Washington University, and more.
You will be required to complete an initial response in your weekly discussion forum, where you will discuss a case study presenting an issue. In this forum, you are expected to explore your personal thoughts on resolving the issue presented in the case study. You will need to respond with one complete analysis of the issue and provide four different follow-ups with other students. Simultaneously, you are expected to grade your peers and rate their ideas based on your perceived helpfulness.
You will complete a weekly independent research assignment, which will be reviewed and graded by your professor. The research paper, adhering to American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition requirements, will undergo weekly evaluation by your professor.
In your initial response to the weekly case study, you will be required to use a specific format and style. However, for the engaging responses, a specific format and style are not mandated. Additionally, in your weekly independent research assignment responses, you will need to adhere to the publishing academic paper format.
Yes, you can utilize the following template when crafting your responses. Access and download the response style formats by clicking on the provided links:

Learning Support

Will You Fail Me If I use AI?

While we don’t incorporate failure as a punitive measure for students utilizing AI, we don’t restrict the use of AI tools either. However, we thoroughly examine the text for signs of AI-generated content. Our expectation is for students not to merely copy and paste text from AI text-generating tools. Instead, we encourage students to infuse a human touch, make thoughtful corrections, and adapt learning methodologies before submitting their weekly assignments. This process of re-editing is crucial for both the integrity of the work and the enhancement of learning outcomes for all students.

To maintain academic integrity, the university has implemented a variety of paid tools to scrutinize the behavior of submitted assignments. This ensures that students have invested the necessary time and effort in preparing their answers.

You will have access to the Academic Resources Center (ARC), where you can acquire knowledge about APA formatting, citations, and receive refresher training on how to use them. However, it’s important to note that writing citations manually is not mandatory, and there will be no penalties for using tools that generate in-text citations or references. Several of these tools are available for you to access and use without the need for payment, like:

  • Zotero
  • You can also use the Citation Generator available in your assignment tab.
The use of AI generative tools to create content is not strictly prohibited and is highly encouraged to help you build a solid understanding of the subject before answering course questions. Paraphrasing tools are recommended only when you believe a response requires human refinement, while ensuring that in-text citations are included to reference the original author. All AI and paraphrasing tools must be properly cited when used.
Yes, absolutely. You are highly recommended to use online available tools to check your assignments, such as Grammarly for grammar corrections or any other tools to check against plagiarism, identify high probability of AI-generated text, facilitate automatic citation creation, and perform hyperlink checking, among others.

The university does not prohibit the use of these available tools, as they contribute to your success and the academic impact of the university.

In addition to the tools available online, we have made efforts to curate and provide access to over 181 online tools for you to download and use, ensuring a smooth start to your academic journey. These tools hold significant importance for you, so it’s advisable to use them thoughtfully and on occasions when they can enhance your learning experience.

Student Supports

Academic Writing Centre

The university has developed a range of tools aimed at assisting all students in acquiring essential academic writing techniques and gaining proficiency in adhering to APA writing paper requirements. These resources are available through the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) – MyCampus.
Each student will be assigned a dedicated academic advisor who will provide guidance and support throughout their academic journey. The academic advisor is readily accessible to assist students with various aspects, including clarifying questions, locating resources, addressing course access issues, facilitating engagement with fellow students, and addressing inquiries related to assigned grades.
While the university has diligently strived to make a comprehensive range of support options accessible to all students through their Success Portal, we have also developed video orientations to familiarize students with the associated dashboards prior to granting access.
