Credit Transfer

Transferability of Credit

In traditional universities, students must complete major courses and electives to qualify for graduation. The Continents University of Arts and Sciences is working hard to emphasize all our students' benefit of a small portion of their life pursuing higher education. To qualify for graduation, all students must complete all major sections in each program—prior life experience or education (or introductory courses), major courses, and electives. We accept credit transfer from other accredited institutions; however, students must pay processing fees of $25 per credit.

Each educational institution makes its own decision regarding whether to accept completed coursework for credit. Check with your university or college. The Continents University of Arts and Sciences is committed to being an inclusive community free from all forms of discrimination. Life Experience Credit

In traditional universities, students must complete major courses and electives to qualify for graduation. The Continents University of Arts and Sciences works hard to emphasize that all our students benefit greatly from investing a small portion of their life to pursue higher education. To qualify for prior life experience credit, students must combine their experience with a credit transcript by the American Council on Education (ACE) or any other credit awarding organization. We accept credit transfer from other accredited institutions; however, students must pay processing fees of $25 per credit.

Evaluation of Credit Transfer

Staff members who will evaluate credit transfer will be subject to the university's foreign credentials evaluation training. Also, credentials evaluators will receive full access to the American Evaluation Association resources library when needed.

The Continents University of Arts and Sciences may award 49 percent and no more than 12 credits, whichever is greater toward completing a master’s degree. The University will evaluate the course works and credits submitted by students with a transcript issued by the institution of study, American Council on Education (ACE), or any other credit awarding agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.

Foreign Credentials Evaluation

Any foreign credentials, can’t be verified will be returned to students with a full refund of all money paid, excluding admission processing fees of $50. They will be asked to obtain a foreign credential evaluation from a recognized evaluation agency in the United States.

Examples of Life Experience

The University will only accept life experience obtained from government employment, military, and peace-corps. When combined with a certificate of credit issued by a recognized credit awarding agency in the United States or internationally reputable agency, only other types are combined.

Articulation Agreements

The Continents University of Arts and Sciences currently does not have any credit-transfer agreement with any institution. Each educational institution makes its own decision regarding whether to accept completed coursework for credit.
